Our Mission

Children's Fund of Ethiopia's mission is to improve the lives of children residing primarily in the country of Ethiopia by supporting educational facilities, improving access to healthcare and providing for their basic human needs in whatever form the governing body of the Association deems appropriate.  The Association’s priority shall be alleviating the suffering of destitute children and giving them a better future.  The Association may accomplish its mission by undertaking charitable activities directly, or by sponsoring nonprofit organizations in Ethiopia or the United States of America that adopt specific projects that are consistent with the Association’s mission. 

CFE’s primary purpose shall to be to provide financial assistance, expertise and other resources to charitable causes involving children – particularly those children who are destitute, in poor health or with little or no access to education – in the country of Ethiopia.  The Association may engage in any other lawful activity that is consistent with the Association’s charitable purpose.  The Association shall be non-profit, non-ethnic, non-religious, non-political and non-partisan in all of its dealings. 

We are currently working on a fundraising effort to raise $500,000.00 by January 2007 for the first organization we have sponsored ( The Children's Heart Fund of Ethiopian) to help complete the First Children Cardiac Center in Ethiopia. You can read more about it under projects links above.
